Brisbane Intimate Home Wedding – Mary and Philip

Mary and Philip always wanted an intimate wedding surrounded by their closest friends and family and their beautiful bespoke wedding certainly delivered. We love weddings that are heartfelt and full of personal and handmade touches.

Mary, a talented wedding dress designer, designed and made her own dress.  She learned to sew from her mother as a teenager and continued to study clothing production. She owns Mary Margaret Bespoke Bridal and creates beautiful one of a kind dresses at her shop in Sydney.  Mary and her bridesmaids got ready at her parents home, the same home that she grew up in.

It was this same home that Mary and Philip chose to get married in by Mary’s great uncle who also married her parents.  Continuing the theme of sentiment and tradition, Philip wore his Grandfather’s family ring featuring the family crest.

Barring tradition and opting for their their own traditions, the bride and groom walked with their guests down the road for the reception meal at their favourite restaurant, The Green Mango, in Ashgrove.  Following their meal the group walked back to the family home for desserts and drinks.

This was one of our favourite weddings that we’ve had the opportunity to be a part of.  It was so touching and personal. We loved all the personal details and touches.
